CERCAM (Cerebral endothelial cell adhesion molecule) is a cell adhesion protein highly expressed in secretory tissues like salivary glands, pancreas, and placenta, and in the nervous system.

Application

Actions biochimiques/physiologiques

CERCAM (Cerebral endothelial cell adhesion molecule) functions as a carbohydrate-binding protein at the cell surface. It is involved in leukocyte transmigration across the blood-brain barrier.
