General description

Butyl rubber stoppers are generally used to seal samples in vials. Amongst butyl, ethylene propylene diene monomer, silicone and PTFE faced butyl stoppers, butyl rubber is considered most effective.

Application

It may be used in a comparative study performed to understand the gas tightness between crimp cap vial with a red natural rubber stopper, grey butyl rubber stopper and a screw-cap vial with a grey chlorobutyl rubber stopper.
