SRM 1958 _SDS

Application

This Standard Reference Material (SRM) is intended for use in evaluating analytical methods for the determination of selected organic contaminants such as polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB) congeners, chlorinated pesticides, and polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) congeners in human serum and similar matrices.

Features and Benefits

  • The use of this reference material will give you confidence in its accuracy in evaluating the analytical methods.
  • Information values are provided for selected toxaphene congeners and hydroxylated compounds.

Preparation Note

  • Before use, the serum in each bottle must be reconstituted with 10.7 mL of distilled or HPLC-grade water.
  • After reconstituting, use contents as soon as possible or store between 2 °C and 8 °C until analysis, preferably within 4 h.

Other Notes

  • Expiration details and storage and use instructions are provided on the NIST certificate
  • Notes on biomaterial handling, disposal, and transport are documented in the MSDS
