General description

Marbofloxacin belongs to the group of synthetic fluoroquinolone compounds, widely used as a veterinary anti-bacterial drug. It shows a broad spectrum of activity against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria.

Application

The analytical standard can be used as follows:
  • Surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy-based determination of marbofloxacin in chicken and duck samples using β-cyclodextrin-modified silver nanoparticles (β-CD-AgNPs)
  • Analysis of synovial fluid and plasma samples obtained from dairy cows for marbofloxacin by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) combined with tandem mass spectrometry (MS/MS) following ultrafiltration of the samples
  • Development of an indirect competitive ELISA (icELISA) method for the combined analysis of marbofloxacin and ofloxacin in raw milk and porcine samples
  • Multi-residue analysis of oxolinic acid, flumequine, marbofloxacin, and enrofloxacin in commercial honey samples by micellar liquid chromatography coupled with fluorescence detection
  • Simultaneous determination of marbofloxacin and trovafloxacin in sheep plasma samples by HPLC combined with UV detection
  • Quantification of marbofloxacin in plasma samples by high-performance liquid chromatography using fluorescence detection.
