General description

Magnesium acetate tetrahydrate serves as a precursor for the generation of magnesium oxide and magnesium-containing oxides in the forms of thin-film, rode, and porous particles with a high specific surface area.

Application

Magnesium acetate tetrahydrate has been used:

• as a precursor in the synthesis of MgCrMnO₄ using a sol-gel method
• as a component of stock solution, buffer 1, buffer 2 and buffer 3 for microsome extraction
• as a precursor in the synthesis of MgCr_2-xMnxO₄ spinels using aqueous sol-gel reaction
