General description

This barium titanate(IV) nanopowder is a very fine white powder made of barium titanate nanoparticles with an average particle size of 50 nm. The synthesis is controlled so that the material crystallizes in the cubic polymorph, which is centrosymmetric with no spontaneous dipole.

Application

Barium Titanate is an effective lead free piezoelectric material and has been studied as a component of polymer nanocomposites and as a probe for cell imaging.

Luminescent markers play a key role in imaging techniques for life science since they provide a contrast mechanism between signal and background. We describe a new type of marker using second harmonic generation (SHG) from noncentrosymmetric BaTiO(3) nanocrystals. These nanoparticles

Piezoelectrics have widespread use in today's sensor and actuator technologies. However, most commercially available piezoelectric materials, e.g., Pb [Zr(x)Ti(1-x)] O(3) (PZT), are comprised of more than 60 weight percent lead (Pb). Due to its harmful effects, there is a strong

Tetragonal Barium titanate (BaTiO3) nanotube arrays have been prepared using the template-assisted hydrothermal method combined with an annealing process. The in-situ chemical conversion of TiO2 nanotube array templates ensured that BaTiO3 maintained the morphology of the nanotube architectures. Moreover, X-ray
