General description

I6505-500ML′s update product number is GE17-0500-01

Application

Diethylaminoethyl (DEAE) Sephacel® is used in protein chromatography, ion exchange chromatography, and anion exchange media. It has been used to study sperm motility, sperm capacitation and sperm-oocyte interactions. DEAE Sephacel has also been used to study patients with immunoglobulin A (IgA) nephropathy. Diethylaminoethyl–Sephacel® has been used:

  • in the purification of media samples by ion-exchange chromatography
  • in the isolation of glycosaminoglycans (GAG) from cultured animal cells
  • in the purification of cytotoxic fractions from Tritrichomonas foetus isolates

Nitrovasodilators, high extracellular Mg(2+), and some other relaxing agents can cause smooth muscle relaxation without reductions in myosin regulatory light chain (MRLC) phosphorylation. Relaxations without MRLC dephosphorylation suggest that other regulatory systems, beyond MRLC phosphorylation, are present in smooth muscle.

Glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) are linear polysaccharides made by all animal cells. GAGs bind to hundreds of proteins, such as growth factors, cytokines, chemokines, extracellular matrix components, protease inhibitors, proteases, and lipoprotein lipase, through carbohydrate and protein interactions. These interactions control many

Extracellular alginate lyase secreted by marine Vibrio sp. YWA, isolated from decayed Laminaria japonica, was purified by a combination of ammonium sulfate precipitation and diethylaminoethyl-Sephacel column chromatography. The results show that the molecular mass of alginate lyase was approximately 62.5
