General description

With formulation challenges in mind, we have used particle engineering technologies to develop functional excipients specifically for solid dosage forms. The products in our Parteck® portfolio feature unique particle properties tailored for excellent performance in tableting processes, for specific drug delivery technologies, or for solubility enhancement.
As part of our Emprove® Program, our raw materials are offered with extensive documentation facilitating compliance of your pharma and biopharma product, full supply chain transparency and risk mitigation. Our SAFC® portfolio of high-quality products for biopharmaceutical and pharmaceutical formulation and production withstands strict quality control procedures and is produced according to applicable cGMP guidelines.

Application

Parteck® MXP excipient is a polyvinyl alcohol-based excipient specifically designed for hot-melt extrusion to increase the solubility of poorly water soluble APIs via stabilization of the amorphous solid state. Parteck® MXP enables stable and high drug loads and can be used for a broad range of poorly water soluble APIs and a variety of final dosage forms.

Features and Benefits

  • Superior supersaturation performance via precipitation inhibition
  • High thermostability up to 250°C, extending the potential application range
  • Stable high drug loads and suitability with a broad range of APIs
  • Flexible release kinetics
  • Compatible with several downstream processing capabilities, like direct compression, continuous manufacturing, thin film extrusion and 3D printing
  • Optimized powder properties for excellent performance in the HME process
  • Suitable polymer properties for HME, spray drying and 3D printing processes
