General description

L-Glutamine plays an important role in nucleotide synthesis. It functions as a critical fuel for lymphocytes and gut epithelial cells. L-Glutamine is essential in the endogenous synthesis of glutathione. It is an essential amino acid, which is useful in stressful conditions. L-Glutamine is involved in protein synthesis, wound healing, regulating acid-base balance, cellular differentiation, acts as an energy source and modulates the immune system.

Application

L-Glutamine-13C5 has been used for gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) of RAW264.7 cells. It has also been used for metabolomics analysis in p53Mut-parental mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) or p53Mut-MSC-tumor lines.
