General description

ASTM® D4815 Valve Timing Mix may be used for the determination of oxygenates (ethers and alcohols) in gasoline by GC. All components used in preparing the standards have been analyzed for purity, water content, and the presence of other method components to 0.01%. Blends have been prepared using precise gravimetric techniques exceeding the requirements of ASTM Method D4815. Corrections are made for common impurities. All calibration blends are provided with a chromatogram and data verifying the purity and identity of the raw materials.
