General description

Rabbit Anti-ATG3 (C-terminal) antibody recognizes human, rat, and mouse Atg3 by immunoprecipitation (approx. 36kDa) and immunohistochemistry. Detection of the Atg3 staining by immunohistochemistry is specifically inhibited with the immunizing peptide.

Immunogen

synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 298-314 of human ATG3, conjugated to KLH via an N-terminal cysteine residue.

Application

Rabbit Anti-ATG3 (C-terminal) antibody can be used for immunohistochemistry (1:50 -1:100) and immunoprecipitation (2-4μl) assays.

Target description

ATG3 is a member of the autophagy-related protein family and is involved in the formation of the autophagosome.

Physical form

Solution in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, containing 15 mM sodium azide.

TP53INP2/DOR (tumor protein p53-inducible nuclear protein 2) contributes to mammalian macroautophagy/autophagy by carrying nuclear deacetylated MAP1LC3/LC3 to the cytoplasm. Here, we report that in the cytoplasm, TP53INP2 further functions in autophagosome biogenesis by promoting LC3B-ATG7 interaction. Cytoplasmic expression of the
