General description
MIP-1β is mainly generated by monocytes and lymphocytes. It is a member of CC family of chemokine intercrine cytokine. MIP-1β shares 70% similarity with MIP-1α. It is localized to a number of tissues such as smooth muscles, monocytes, neutrophils, mast cells, fibroblast B and T lymphocytes.[1]
