Gene Information

human ... SMAD1(4086)

General description

Smad1 (SMAD family member 1) is a transcriptional activator, that is located on chromosome 4q31.

Immunogen

Peptide sequence around aa. 461-465 (I-S-S-V-S), according to the protein SMAD1.

Biochem/physiol Actions

SMAD1 (SMAD family member 1) protein has a major role in disease development, hence it acts as a biologic prognostic factor in diseases. The miR-345 repress the multiplication, invasion and migration of prostate cancer by downregulating Smad1.

Features and Benefits

Evaluate our antibodies with complete peace of mind. If the antibody does not perform in your application, we will issue a full credit or replacement antibody. Learn more.

Target description

Transcriptional modulator activated by BMP (bone morphogenetic proteins) type 1 receptor kinase. SMAD1 is a receptor-regulated SMAD (R-SMAD).

Physical form

Solution in phosphate-buffered saline containing 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol
