General description

Focal adhesion kinase (FAK) is a cytoplasmic protein that belongs to non-receptor protein tyrosine kinase family. It has a critical role in regulation of cell differentiation, migration, adhesion and acceleration of the G1 to S phase transition in cell cycle. Anti-phospho-FAK (pTyr397) antibody can be used in immunocytochemistry and immunohistochemistry. Rabbit anti- phospho-FAK (pTyr397) antibody reacts specifically with FAK (125kD) phosphorylated at tyrosine 397. This product can also react with FAK (pTyr397) of rat, chicken, frog, mouse and human.

Immunogen

synthetic phophopeptide derived from the region of FAK that contains tyrosine 397.

Application

Anti-phospho-FAK (pTyr397) antibody can be used in immunoblotting (diluted 1:1000) and microarray.

Physical form

Solution in Dulbecco′s phosphate buffered saline (without Mg2+ and Ca2+), pH 7.3, with 50% glycerol, 1.0 mg/ml BSA (IgG and protease free) and 0.05% sodium azide.
