General description

It is an isotopically labelled solution of AOZ, also known as 3-amino-2-oxazolidinone, a metabolite of the synthetic nitrofuran veterinary antibiotic― furazolidone.

Application

The analytical standard can be used as an internal standard for the following:
  • Multi-residue analysis of four nitrofuran metabolites residues in 120 fish samples by ultra high-performance liquid chromatography (UHPLC) combined with tandem mass spectrometry (MS/MS)
  • Determination of four nitrofuran metabolites in a variety of food samples by liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) following their extraction using a solid-phase microextraction (SPME) probe
  • Simultaneous estimation of nitrofuran and chloramphenicol residues in animal-based food products using UHPLC, coupled with high-resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS)
  • Development of a UHPLC-MS/MS-based method for the estimation of nitrofurans along with their metabolites in biological samples
  • Liquid-liquid extraction of chloramphenicol, florfenicol, and nitrofuran metabolites from honey samples for their analysis by LC-MS/MS
  • Estimation of nitrofuran metabolites in poultry muscle and eggs using liquid chromatography coupled with tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS).

A simplified method is described for reducing the analysis time of nitrofurans (NFs) and nitrofuran metabolites (NFMs) in the aquatic animals. Most existing HPLC-MS/MS methods are intended only for NFMs and are based on their fast metabolic transformations. We optimized
