General description

A cell-permeable, stable free radical that acts as a hydrogen radical scavenger. Useful in inducing free-radical injury to tissues and as a screening tool for detecting free radical scavenging activity of antioxidants. Absorption max: ~517 nm.
A cell-permeable, stable, free radical that acts as a hydrogen radical (H) scavenger. Useful to induce free-radical injury to tissues and as a screening tool for detecting antioxidant activity. Reduction in the levels of DPPH can be used as a measure of antioxidant properties of compounds. Note: Absorption max: ~ 517 nm.
DPPH, Free Radical, CAS 1898-66-4, is a cell-permeable, stable free radical that acts as a hydrogen radical scavenger.
