General description

We offer this sulfuric acid for the measurement of COD in seawater and other applications to be purchased together with the tests. When measuring COD e.g. in seawater with Spectroquant® COD Cell Test Kits 1.17058, 1.17059 one needs to measure a blank as reference. More information can be found in the instruction leaflet.
The COD (chemical oxygen demand) expresses the amount of oxygen originating from potassium dichromate that reacts with the oxidizable substances contained in 1 l of water under the working conditions of the specified procedure.
