General description
This Spectroquant® Nitrite Cell Test allows the accurate quantification of the nitrite content in aqueous samples.
Method applied: In acidic solution nitrite ions react with iron(II) ethylenediammonium sulfate to form a yellow to green-brown iron(II) compound that is determined photometrically.
The Spectroquant® Cell Tests come with prefilled 16 mm round cells and all the required reagents to perform the analysis according to the instruction leaflet provided.
All Spectroquant® Cell and Reagent Test Kits are equipped with the unique Live ID (2D barcode)which allows seamless method recognition and contains essential information such as lot number, expiry date, and automatic calibration updates.
Application
- A rapid, straightforward, and print house compatible mass fabrication method for integrating 3D paper-based microfluidics.: This research developed a new method for fabricating microfluidic devices, incorporating the Nitrite Cell Test for real-time monitoring of nitrite concentrations in various samples (Xiao et al., 2013).
- Can routine automated urinalysis reduce culture requests: The study assessed the effectiveness of automated urinalysis, including the Nitrite Cell Test, in reducing the need for urine cultures in clinical settings (Kayalp et al., 2013).
