General description

Interleukin-10 (IL-10), originally known as Cytokine Synthesis Inhibitory Factor (CSIF) is an 18.7 kDa protein of 160 amino acid residues that shares over 80% sequence homology with the Epstein-Barr Virus protein BCRFI. IL-10 down regulates the expression of Th1 cytokines, major histocompatibility complex class II antigens, and costimulatory molecules on macrophages. It also enhaces B cell survival, proliferation, and antibody production. Knockout studies suggest that IL-10 is an immunoregulator in the intestinal tract.

Immunogen

GST-tagged recombinant protein corresponding to mouse Interleukin-10.

Application

Detect Interleukin-10 using this Anti-Interleukin-10 Antibody validated for use in WB.

Quality

Evaluated by Western Blot in mouse Interleukin-10 recombinant protein.

Western Blot Analysis: 0.01 µg/mL of this antibody detected Interleukin-10 on 10 µg of mouse Interleukin-10 recombinant protein.
