General description

Chicoric acid, a caffeic acid derivative, is found in a variety of plant species, including basil, chicory, dandelion, etc. It is a polyphenol organic compound that is reported to have antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antiviral and immunostimulating properties. Various studies also suggest the antidiabetic potential of chicoric acid.
