General description

A kit of NIST traceable ethanol standards suitable for calibration of ethanol testing methods. These Certified Reference Materials are widely used in forensic analysis and clinical toxicology applications for determination of blood alcohol content.

Application

  • Creatinine assay kit: A study utilized serum creatinine-cystatin C based screening to assess sarcopenia in older adults, demonstrating the utility of creatinine assay kits in geriatric health assessments (Matsuzawa et al., 2024).

  • High-purity creatinine for biochemical studies: Research on machine learning models for predicting healthcare-associated infections utilized creatinine levels as a predictor, emphasizing the need for high-purity creatinine in developing analytical tools (Wang et al., 2024).

  • Creatinine analytical standard: Studies have explored the relationship between structural characteristics of medical practices and socioeconomic status of patients, where creatinine measurement played a key role in diabetes-related performance indicators, highlighting its use as an analytical standard in healthcare research (Jargalsaikhan et al., 2024).

  • Creatinine metabolism research: The development of lateral flow devices for urinary biomarkers to assess kidney health incorporated creatinine analysis, showing its significance in nephrology and diagnostic research (D Souza et al., 2024).

  • Creatinine for cell culture: A study on population pharmacokinetics in pediatric patients used creatinine levels to compare drug metabolism between oncology and non-oncology patients, reflecting its crucial role in clinical pharmacology and cell culture studies (Abou-Auda et al., 2024).

The yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae is able to accumulate ≥17% ethanol (v/v) by fermentation in the absence of cell proliferation. The genetic basis of this unique capacity is unknown. Up to now, all research has focused on tolerance of yeast cell

In brewing and ethanol-based biofuel industries, high-gravity fermentation produces 10-15% (v/v) ethanol, resulting in improved overall productivity, reduced capital cost, and reduced energy input compared to processing at normal gravity. High-gravity technology ensures a successful implementation of cellulose to ethanol
