General description

The Human sTNF RI (soluble tumor necrosis factor receptor I) ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) kit is an in vitro enzyme- linked immunosorbent assay for the quantitative measurement of human sTNF RI in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants and urine.

Recombinant Human TNF RI

Application

For research use only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.
Please refer to the attached General ELISA KIT Procedure (sandwich, competitive & Indirect ELISA)

Biochem/physiol Actions

Tumour necrosis factor (TNF) receptor superfamily member 1A is a type I single transmembrane glycoprotein. Signal transduction mediated by binding of TNFα regulates inflammatory, immune responses and apoptotic pathway. TNF receptor 1 is implicated in the end-stage renal disease and associated mortality. Mutations in TNF receptor 1 causes autosomal dominant tumor necrosis factor receptor-associated periodic syndrome (TRAPS). Polymorphism in TNF receptor 1 causes multiple sclerosis.
