CL075 has been used to activate the monocyte-derived dendritic cells (DCs) to demonstrate the ability of DCs to induce cell death.[1]
Biochem/physiol Actions
CL075 is a selective agonist of Toll-like receptor-8 (TLR-8) with immunostimulant activity. It showed an EC50 value of 400nM for IRF-NFΚB stimulation in TLR8 compared to 4 μM for TLR7.
CL075 is a thiazoloquinolone derivative[2]. It might influence tumor development.[3]

AIDS (London, England), 24(12), 1841-1848 (2010-07-01)
Chronic HIV-1 infection is characterized by high levels of persistent immune activation. Both HIV-1-encoded Toll-like receptor 7/8 (TLR7/8) ligands and TLR ligands encoded by products of microbial translocation have been implicated in inducing and sustaining immune activation in infected individuals

To observe the expression of Toll-like receptor 8 (TLR8) in human cervical cancer cell-line HeLa cells, and the effects of TLR8 agonist CL075 on the survival and proliferation of HeLa cells. PCR and RT-PCR were used to detect the expression
