General description

Ginsenoside Rg5 is a diol-containing ginsenoside, that occurs naturally in Panax ginseng. It is found to be a promising agent in the treatment of Alzheimer′s disease.

Application

Ginsenoside Rg5 may be used as a reference standard in the determination of ginsenoside Rg5 in Korean red ginseng using high performance liquid chromatography coupled with evaporative light scattering detection (HPLC-ELSD).
