Cell Line Description
From H-35 Reuber hepatoma induced by chemical carcinogenesis in an AxC rat . Tyrosine aminotransferase positive. Synthesises several serum proteins including albumin, transferrin and prothrombin. (Same as H4-11-E-C3 (Sigma Catalogue number. 85061112)).
Application
Gene expression analysis.
Culture Medium
Coon′s modified Ham′s F12 (or Kaign′s modified Ham′s F12 + 45mg/L ascorbic acid + 18mg/L Inositol) + 2mM Glutamine + 5% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS).
Subculture Routine
Split semi-confluent [60%-70%] cultures 1:100 i.e. seeding at 2x100 cells/cm2 using 0.25% trypsin or trypsin/EDTA; 5% CO2; 37°C. Saturation density is reached at 15x1000,000 cells/10cm2 dish.
