Description générale

The FAS receptor (FasR) is a protein encoded by the TNFRSF6 gene in humans and is mapped to chromosomal band 10q24.1. It is a cell surface antigen expressed on a variety of normal and malignant cells.

Immunogène

Immunogen Sequence: GI # 4507583, sequence 21-165
Recombinant tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily, member 6 isoform 1

Application

Anti-FAS (ab1) antibody produced in chicken is suitable for western blotting analysis at a dilution of 1:500, for tissue or cell staining at a dilution of 1:200.

Actions biochimiques/physiologiques

The FAS receptor (FasR) is associated with programmed cell death (apoptosis). It functions as an apoptosis-signaling cell surface Ag. Mutation of the gene or defective FAS signaling may render the T-cell lymphoblastic lymphomas (T-LBLs) tumor cells resistant to apoptotic cell death.

Solution in phosphate buffered saline containing 0.02% sodium azide.

Interleukin-17A (IL-17A) signals through the IL-17 receptor (IL-17R) A/C heterodimer. IL-17RA serves as a common receptor subunit for several IL-17 cytokine family members. Lack of IL-17RA signaling may therefore have additional effects beyond those of lack of IL-17A alone. The
