Actions biochimiques/physiologiques

ETS domain-containing protein Elk-1 is a protein encoded by the ELK1 gene in humans. It is a member of the Ets family of transcription factors. Elk-1 activation is important for executing its physiologic functions. Its activation is positively associated with ER and with Cyclin D1. Elk1 plays a novel role in controlling cell migration. Elk-1 is involved in a number of important cell processes through the activation of different genes in a number of normal tissues as well as in many malignancies. It is also plays a role in breast neoplasia.
