Description générale

Monoclonal Anti-Cyclin D1 (mouse IgG2a isotype) is derived from the DCS-6 hybridoma produced by the fusion of mouse myeloma cells and splenocytes from an immunized mouse. Cyclin D1 protein is a G1-phase cyclin in mammalian cells. This protein is a D-type cyclin. The CCD1 gene is located on the human chromosome at 11q13.3.

Spécificité

Does not cross-react with other D-type cyclins.

Immunogène

recombinant human Cyclin D1 protein.

Application

Monoclonal Anti-Cyclin D1 antibody produced in mouse may be used in:
  • immunoblotting
  • immunofluorescence
  • immunocytochemistry
  • immunoprecipitation
  • immunohistochemistry
  • antibody-mediated knock-out experiments

Actions biochimiques/physiologiques

Cyclin D1 is involved in regulating cyclin-dependent kinase (CDK) family members. Cyclin D1 and D2 are affiliated with CDK4 and/or CDK6 kinase activities that are observed in mid-G1 and culminate in the late G1 phase. Amplification of the cyclin D1 gene is observed in a significant percentage of cancers, including breast, bladder carcinoma, mantle cell lymphomas, head and neck cancers. This gene is also amplified in esophageal squamous cell carcinomas.

Forme physique

The product is provided as ascites fluid with 15 mM sodium azide as a preservative.

Stockage et stabilité

For continuous use, store at 2-8 °C for up to one month. For extended storage, the solution may be frozen in working aliquots. Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Storage in "frost-free" freezers not recommended. If slight turbidity occurs upon prolonged storage, clarify the solution by centrifugation before use.
