Application

Potassium citrate tribasic monohydrate has been used in interconnected porous carbon nanosheets (IPCNs) synthesis. It has also been used to study the use of clinical-grade Garcinia cambogia in Drosophila kidney stone models.[1]

Biochem/physiol Actions

Potassium citrate can be used to prepare citrate water that supports the survival of streptozotocin (STZ)-diabetic mice. It might reduce the successive stone formation in calcium nephrolithiasis.[2] Potassium citrate serves as an activator for producing activated carbons.
