Gene Information

mouse ... Axin1(12005)

General description

Axin-1 is a beta-catenin destruction complex scaffold protein and a transcription factor of the Wnt signaling pathway. Variation in the Wnt signaling pathway has been associated with the formation of some primary human cancers. Axin-1 mutation has been linked to oral squamous cell carcinoma. Axin-1 binds to GSK3alpha and activates the Wnt signaling pathway which is shown to be associated with growth and development of cells. Axin-1 has also been implicated in Alzheimer′s disease.

Immunogen

KLH-conjugated linear peptide corresponding to human Axin-1.

Application

Anti-Axin-1 Antibody is an antibody against Axin-1 for use in WB, IC, IH.
Immunocytochemistry Analysis: 1:500 dilution from a representative lot detected Axin-1 in A431 and HeLa cells.

Immunohistochemistry Analysis: 1:1,000 dilution from a representative lot detected Axin-1 in human kidney and human skin tissues.

Quality

Evaluated by Western Blot in HEK293 cell lysate.

Western Blot Analysis: 1 µg/mL of this antibody detected Axin-1 on 10 µg of HEK293 cell lysate.

Target description

~110 kDa observed. An uncharacterized band appears at ~40 and 45 kDa in some lysates.

Other Notes

Concentration: Please refer to the Certificate of Analysis for the lot-specific concentration.

Genetic evidence has indicated that β-catenin plays a vital role in glucose and lipid metabolism. Here, we investigated whether pyrvinium, an anthelmintic agent previously reported as a down-regulator of cellular β-catenin levels, conferred any metabolic advantages in treatment of metabolic

Enormous amounts of essential intracellular events are crowdedly packed inside picoliter-sized cellular space. However, the significance of the physical properties of cells remains underappreciated because of a lack of evidence of how they affect cellular functionalities. Here, we show that

An aberrant accumulation of nuclear β-catenin is closely associated with the augmentation of cancer malignancy. In this work, we report that several microtubule-targeting agents (MTAs) such as vinblastine, taxol, and C12 (combretastatin-2-aminoimidazole analog) inhibit Wnt/β-catenin signaling in oral squamous cell

The derivation and maintenance of human pluripotent stem cells (hPSCs) in stable naïve pluripotent states has a wide impact in human developmental biology. However, hPSCs are unstable in classical naïve mouse embryonic stem cell (ESC) WNT and MEK/ERK signal inhibition
