General description

Iron phosphide, Fe2P is a low band semiconducting material. It can be prepared by sonochemical synthesis from organometallic compounds as starting materials at temperatures above 950°C.

Application

Fe2P can be used for a variety of application such as: lithium ion batteries to improve conductivity, electrode material in sodium ion batteries, an electrocatalyst in hydrogen evolution
