General description
5-(4-Nitrophenyl)furfural is a furfural nitrophenyl derivative.
Application
5-(4-Nitrophenyl)furfural was used in the synthesis of (E)-methyl 3-(5-(4-nitrophenyl)furan-2-yl)acrylate.
It may be used in the synthesis of 2-[5(6)-{N-isopropylamidino}-2-benzimidazoyl]-5-(4-nitrophenyl)furan and 2-[(3-methylquinoxalin-2-yl)oxy]-N′-(1E)-[5-(4-nitrophenyl)-2-furfuryl]methyleneacetohydrazide, a quinoxaline-incorporated Schiff base.
