Application

Lithium Hydroxide, Monohydrate can be used as:
  • A catalyst to synthesize 3,4-disubstituted pyrrole derivatives by reacting with aromatic aldehydes and enolisable ketones via in situ formation of chalcones.
  • A precursor for the fabrication of lithium-ion battery cathode material.
  • A starting material to synthesize lithium cobalt oxide (LiCoO2, a positive electrode material) by hydrothermal reaction with cobalt (II) nitrate and hydrogen peroxide.
