General description

Dihydroorotate oxidase (DHODH) is also called Dihydroorotate dehydrogenase (quinone), mitochondrial (DHOdehase). DHODH is a member the dihydroorotate dehydrogenase (Type 2) family and is involved in pyrimidine biosynthesis. DHODH catalyzes the conversion of dihydroorotate to orotate using quinone as an electron acceptor. DHODH defects can cause postaxial acrofacial dysostosis (POADS).

Specificity

Other Homologies: Rat (93% sequence homology) and Mouse (86% sequence homology).
This antibody recognizes the Topological Domain (Mitochondrial intermembrane) of DHODH.

Immunogen

Epitope: Topological Domain ( Mitochondrial intermembrane)
KLH-conjugated linear peptide corresponding to the Topological Domain (Mitochondrial intermembrane) of human DHODH.

Application

Anti-DHODH Antibody is a rabbit polyclonal antibody, validated for use in western blotting & IHC (Paraffin).
Immunohistochemistry Analysis: A 1:100 dilution from a representative lot detected DHODH in human testis and breast carcinoma sections.
