General description
Native Gc-globulin from human plasma. A single polypeptide chain present in plasma at a concentration of about 20-55 mg/100 ml. Functions in the binding and transport of vitamin D. May also play an important role in actin homeostasis; binds monomeric actin with high affinity. Binds membranes of both circulating B and T lymphocytes.

Native Gc-globulin from human plasma. Single polypeptide chain present in plasma at about 20-55 mg/dl. Functions in binding and transport of vitamin D. May also play an important role in actin homeostasis as it has been shown to bind monomeric actin with high affinity. Binds to cell surface at the DBP binding site in a nonsaturable manner.
Application
Gc-Globulin, Mixed Type, Human Plasma, CAS 68476-36-8, is a single polypeptide chain that transports vitamin D. Binds to cell surface at the DBP binding site in a non-saturable manner.
