Application

Alkaline phosphatase is used for conjugation to antibodies and other proteins for ELISA, Western blotting, and histochemical detection. Alkaline phosphatase is also used to prevent DNA self ligation and for radiolabeling.

Alkaline phosphatase is a hydrolase enzyme that dephosphorylates molecules such as nucleotides, proteins and alkaloids.
