General description

Fluazifop-P-butyl belongs to the arylophenoxypropionate group of graminicides. It is a post-emergence herbicide that acts by inhibiting acetyl-CoA carboxylase enzyme activity, involved in the catalysis of the formation of malonyl-CoA during metabolism of lipids.

Application

Fluazifop-P-butyl may be used as a reference standard for the determination of the analyte:
  • In different varieties of lettuce (Lactuca sativum) by capillary gas chromatography with nitrogen–phosphorus detection (NPD).
  • In tea samples by modified QuEChERS (quick, easy, cheap, effective, rugged, and safe) sample preparation procedure combined with ultra-performance liquid chromatography-electrospray tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC/MS/MS).
