General description

We are committed to bringing you Greener Alternative Products, which adhere to one or more of The 12 Principles of Greener Chemistry. This product has been enhanced for energy efficiency. Find details here.

Application

LNCO is a lamellar oxide used as a positive electrode material in Li batteries exhibiting good electrochemical charge-discharge behavior. The high reversibility of the lithium intercalation process, due to the strictly 2D character of the LNCO material, the high cell voltage (but not too high due to the position of the Ni4+/Ni3+ couple vs the Co4+/Co3+ couple), and the presence of a relatively small cobalt content, makes this material a very promising one for lithium battery applications.
