General description

WDR37 (WD repeat- containing protein 37), is a 494 amino acid protein that contains seven WD-repeats. WD-repeats are motifs that are found in a variety of proteins and are characterized by a conserved core of 40-60 amino acids that commonly form a tertiary propeller structure. The gene encoding WDR37 maps to human chromosome 10q15.3. WDR37 gene is located in loci responsible for renal function and chronic kidney disease (CKD).

Immunogen

synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence at the N-terminus of human WDR37, conjugated to KLH. The isotype is determined by ELISA using Mouse Monoclonal Antibody Isotyping Reagents (Sigma ISO-2).

Application

Monoclonal Anti-WDR37 antibody produced in mouse has been used in:
  • immunofluorescence
  • immunoblotting
  • immunohistochemistry
  • immunocytochemistry

Biochem/physiol Actions

Proteins containing WD-repeats participate in a wide range of cellular functions, such as chromatin assembly, cell cycle control, signal transduction, RNA processing, apoptosis and vesicular trafficking.

Physical form

Solution in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, containing 15 mM sodium azide.
