General description

DNA, MB-grade is used for the prevention of nonspecific hybridization reactions.
DNA, MB-grade, is provided as a sonicated, denatured single-stranded DNA fragment mixture.

Application

The ready-to-use solution is directly added to the hybridization mix. It prevents nonspecific hybridization in all types of membrane (e.g., Southern and northern blot applications) or in situ DNA hybridizations. DNA, MB-grade has been used in chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChiP) assay.
Note: Addition of NaCl, sonication or shearing, and denaturing are not required.
