Reacts with HBcAg (epitope recognized - around amino acid positions 70-80, major C determinant).
SPECIES REACTIVITIES:
Cross-reacts with woodchuck hepatitis virus core antigen (WHcAg), but not with duck hepatitis B virus core antigen (DHcAg).
Immunogen
Epitope: Core Antigen
Recombinant purified HBcAg from E.coli

Hepatitis B virus is a major human pathogen, which forms enveloped virus particles. During viral maturation, membrane-bound hepatitis B surface proteins package hepatitis B core protein capsids. This process is intercepted by certain peptides with an "LLGRMKG" motif that binds
