Application

Nafion^™ perfluorinated membrane is mainly used as a proton exchange membrane (PEM) for fuel cell applications. It can also be used as a membrane for lithium isotope separation, which can be further be utilized as a fuel for fusion reactors. It has excellent chemical stability and high cationic conductivity. It finds potential usage in batteries and sensors.

Surface that is shiny and smooth must be installed facing the cathode.

Nafion^™ is a perfluorinated ion-exchange membrane which has a wide variety of commercial uses. The acidic (hydrogen ion) form and derivatives are solid, superacid catalysts useful in a wide variety of synthetic applications.

Packaging

Darkening/browning is common for pieces stored in a general room environment for an extended period of time (several months), due to organics pick-up. Verify product is kept sealed during storage.
· Keep pieces sealed and protected from general exposure will reduce the effect. Recommend long term storage in air-tight bags.
· Discoloration does not affect performance and can be removed by soaking in dilute nitric acid.

Packaged in a heat-sealed foil bag in stay-flat mailers.
