Zinc finger protein 397 (ZNF397) belongs to the Cys2His2 group of the zinc-finger superfamily. It possesses a leucine-rich SCAN domain and nine Cys2His2 zinc fingers. The gene encoding this protein is localized on human chromosome 18q12.
Immunogen
The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human ZNF397.
Immunogen Range: 10-59
Biochem/physiol Actions
Zinc finger protein 397 (ZNF397) has been shown to co-localize with centromere protein-A (CENP-A) during early prophase and interphase. It might be involved in transcriptional regulation.

We have identified two novel human SCAN domain genes ZNF396 and ZNF397, which are clustered within the region of chromosome 18q12. Three isoforms of ZNF396 transcript, 1.5, 2.5 and 3.9-kb, are expressed highly in liver. Four isoforms of ZNF397 transcript
The centromere is a complex structure required for equal segregation of newly synthesised sister chromatids at mitosis. One of the significant objectives in centromere research is to determine the complete repertoire of protein components that constitute the kinetochore. Here, we
