It is a member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily (TR6). DcR3 transcript is expressed in a number of lung and colon carcinomas and in some normal tissues.
Immunogen
synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 31-46 of human DcR3 precursor.
Application
Anti-DcR3 antibody produced in rabbit is suitable for western blotting at a working dilution of 1:500-1:1000 using human heart, brain or kidney lysates.
Biochem/physiol Actions
DcR3 is a soluble decoy receptor that binds to FasL and LIGHT and inhibits FasL and LIGHT induced apoptosis.
Physical form
Solution in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline containing 0.02% sodium azide.

Fas ligand (FasL) is produced by activated T cells and natural killer cells and it induces apoptosis (programmed cell death) in target cells through the death receptor Fas/Apol/CD95. One important role of FasL and Fas is to mediate immune-cytotoxic killing

TR6 (decoy receptor 3 (DcR3)) is a new member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor (TNFR) family. TR6 mRNA is expressed in lung tissues and colon adenocarcinoma, SW480. In addition, the expression of TR6 mRNA was shown in the endothelial
