General description
Fibulin-3 is a protein that belongs to a family of extracellular proteins expressed in the basement membranes of blood vessels and the gene that encodes fibulin 3 is EFEMP1. It is a secreted protein that is present in serum, urine and tissue samples. A single mutation in FBLN3 is responsible for an autosomal dominant form of macular degeneration (Marmorstein, et al., 2002)
Specificity
Clone G3-5 recognizes human fibulin-3 with a MW of 55 kDa.
Immunogen
Epitope: amino acids 107-493
GST-tagged fibulin-3 fusion protein containing amino acids 107-493.
Application
