General description

Progressive rod-cone degeneration (PRCD) protein is a single pass membrane protein that is involved in vision. PRCD defects can cause retinitis pigmentosa type 36 (RP36) which typically involves a loss of peripheral and night vision.

Specificity

Other homologies: Canine (92% sequence homology)
This antibody recognizes PRCD near the C-terminus.

Immunogen

Epitope: Near C-terminus
KLH-conjugated linear peptide corresponding to human PRCD near the C-terminus.

Application

Anti-PRCD Antibody is a highly specific rabbit polyclonal antibody, that targets Progressive rod-cone degeneration protein & has been tested in IHC.
Immunohistochemistry Analysis: A 1:500 dilution from a representative lot detected PRCD in mouse retina and mouse corneal epithelial cell tissues.
