Specificity

Recognizes Transient Receptor Potential Channel 7 (TRPM7, LTRPC7, Channel-kinase 1).

Immunogen

Purified peptide from the C-terminus of human TRPM7 (Accession number Q96QT4).

Application

Research Category
Neuroscience
Research Sub Category
Ion Channels & Transporters
This Anti-Transient Receptor Potential Channel 7 Antibody is validated for use in IC, WB for the detection of Transient Receptor Potential Channel 7.
Western blot: 1:200-1:500 using ECL on mouse brain lysate and GH3 cell line (rat pituitary tumor) lysate.
Immunocytochemistry: 1:200 using GH3 cell line (rat pituitary tumor).
Dilutions should be made using a carrier protein such as BSA (1-3%).
Optimal working dilutions must be determined by the end user.

Physical form

Format: Purified
ImmunoAffinity Purified
Lyophilized from phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, containing 1% BSA, and 0.05% sodium azide as a preservative. Reconstitute with 200 uL of sterile deionized water. Centrifuge antibody preparation before use (10,000 xg for 5 min).

Storage and Stability

Maintain lyophilized material at -20°C for up to 12 months after date of receipt. After reconstitution maintain at -20°C in undiluted aliquots for up to 6 months. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

Analysis Note

Control
Included free of charge with the antibody is 40 μg of control antigen (lyophilized powder). The stock solution of the antigen can be made up using 100 μL of sterile deionized water. For negative control, preincubate 1 μg of peptide with 1 μg of antibody for one hour at room temperature. Optimal concentrations must be determined by the end user.

Transient receptor potential melastatin 7 (TRPM7) is a unique protein functioning as a cation channel as well as a serine/threonine kinase and is highly expressed in immune cells such as lymphocytes and macrophages. TRPM7 kinase-dead (KD) mouse model has been

T lymphocytes enlarge (blast) and proliferate in response to antigens in a multistep program that involves obligatory cytosolic calcium elevations. Store-operated calcium entry (SOCE) pathway is the primary source of Ca2+ in these cells. Here, we describe a novel modulator

TRPM7 is a cation channel-protein kinase highly expressed in T lymphocytes and other immune cells. It has been proposed to constitute a cellular entry pathway for Mg2+ and divalent metal cations such as Ca2+, Zn2+, Cd2+, Mn2+, and Ni2+. TRPM7

The transient receptor potential melastatin-subfamily member 7 (TRPM7) is a ubiquitously expressed membrane protein consisting of ion channel and protein kinase domains. TRPM7 plays a fundamental role in the cellular uptake of divalent cations such as Zn2+, Mg2+, and Ca2+
