General description
An 11-amino acid peptide derived from the second Ig-like domain of vascular endothelial growth factor receptor-1 (VEGFR-1 or Flt-1) that is reported to inhibit angiogenesis in chick chorioallantoic membrane and VEGF-induced vascular permeability. Does not bind to vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) nor inhibit its binding to VEGFR. Reported to form a stable β-sheet structure and exists as a dimer in solution.
