General description
Sterile syringe filters with glass microfiber membrane (GMF) and prefilter designed to support filtration of viscous, hard-to-filter samples with high solids content. The Whatman GD/X sterile, glass microfiber (GMF) membrane syringe filters are designed to enable the filtration of viscous, hard-to-filter samples greater than 10 mL. Each unit contains a prefiltration stack of Whatman multigrade glass microfiber (GMF) and Glass fiber (GF/F) filters. The combination of this pre-filtration stack and filter housing design enables you to filter highly particular loaded samples. Cytiva′s GD/X sterile syringe filter is suitable for preparing viscous, dense, or otherwise hard-to-filter samples prior to a variety of analytical methods.
Features and Benefits
- Reduces need for multiple syringe filters by processing three to seven times more sample volume than syringe filters without prefilters
- Female luer lock for leak-free connections
- High-efficiency Whatman GMF 150 and GF/F pre-filter media
- Eliminates or greatly reduces the need to carry out separate prefiltration step for difficult-to-filter samples
Suitability
Suitable for filtering environmental and food analysis samples. Suitable for particulate laden sample preparation.
