Chondroitin Sulfate Sodium is a glycosaminoglycan, obtained from domestic animal cartilage used in human food. It is composed of a copolymer of N-acetylchondrosamine and d-glucuronic acid, linked alternately between β-1,4 and β-1,3. The glycosaminoglycan is mostly composed of the sodium salt of the sulfate ester of N-acetylchondrosamine, and is primarily mono sulfated in position 4, and less so in position 6. [1]

Anwendung

Chondroitin sulfate sodium USP reference standard, intended for use in specified quality tests and assays as specified in the USP compendia. Also, for use with USP monographs such as:

• Chondroitin Sulfate Sodium Tablets
• Glucosamine and Chondroitin Sulfate Sodium Tablets
• Glucosamine, Chondroitin Sulfate Sodium, and Methylsulfonylmethane Tablets
